An End to War

No quest is more important or more difficult than that of achieving world peace. At any moment, the international economy may crumble. Nations may find themselves faced with the possibility of nuclear war. Not only is the fate of individual nations at stake, but the planet itself may be in jeopardy. Nuclear war must not happen. But if it is to be prevented, people of good will everywhere must work without resorting to violence.

This means dealing with such issues as national self-determination, failing economies, hunger, environmental pollution, population growth, and refugee problems. It is time for educators in every country to share ideas, to work together, and to build strong foundations for peace. It can be done. It must be done.
